Hello all – I’m working on a project that required custom CMS and ASP.NET Web Services. I would prefer it written in VB coding.
First I need the Web Services and DB to be created in place first. As my dev team will be using JS to call and integrate. It more like an API.
The Web Services will manage user accounts with services like authenticate, login, add, edit, delete, forget password.. etc. User account need to be able to store more than 1 address. e.g. shipping address (more than 1), billing address. Need proper documentation of the API usage.
Secondly the Custom CMS is to manage the site static data and partial dynamic data, as some information are gather from 3rd party services. It will consist of uploading files to server and these files will be manage and categories based on 3rd party info. This apply for data tagging to the 3rd party info too. This area might be a bit complex.

tracking to cursor movement. Where the user can control the cursor by
using the motion of the object they are tracking. The user should be
able to click by doing an air tap, a gesture you would do as if you

Hello all – I’m working with a client on an ecommerce site for their
textbook rental company. I had been working with a back-end developer
who has since not worked out.
Most of the user interface
HTML/CSS is coded and ready to go but we still need the basic back-end
stuff. The client wants the site to use the Amazon Product Advertising
API to generate most of the information when a user searches for a book
(i.e. descrip, ISBN, cover photo, etc ). If the book is in their local
inventory, then a link appears that says “rent me” and then they can
proceed with the local checkout process. If not in the local inventory,
then the link says “Buy from Amazon” and they are redirected to the
Amazon product page using the client’s affiliate code so they get
credit for the sale.
In addition, the original developer was
supposed to do all the admin functions/logins, customer logins,
checkout process, search function, etc. We originally identified the
Spree open-source solution to integrate all of these functions for the
client, but I’m open to another way to tie it all together and give the
client access to the admin side.

The tool must allow users to design their own signs and banners online, with price changing depending upon design spec. This then needs to be integrated into an e-commerce website that allows the user to either enquire about the designed product, or purchase the product online.
We mainly use Cubecart to develop E-commerce websites, so anyone experienced with this would be preferred, although we are open to other suggestions.

I’m currently looking to develop a custom iPad app that will serve as a product catalog and order application for a local distributor company.
I’m currently working as a consultant for a local company, that distributes automotive products (such as paint and body equipment) in the USA. They are looking for an application for the new Apple iPad that will be launched in the coming months.
*The app will be used as a work tool for the company’s sales representatives out in the field. The idea behind this is to allow our sales representatives to use the iPad as an up-to-date product catalog of the company (image of product, description, price, availability, etc) AND send orders from it to the company’s headquarters. NO PAYMENT PROCESSOR IS NEEDED as the orders will only come from our sales representatives (not customers)
Right now their sales reps are using Palm PDA to do this, but as that technology is getting old everyday that passes we are looking for something fresh and new to use, that can really give us the edge we need.
Because I have never worked with iPhone developers before, I would prefer to start by a consultation from you so we can discuss and brainstorm the possibilities we have and the things we can build. But overall…
Here are the requirements of the app we need:
- Product Catalog (very similar to that of an eccomerce website, meaning having: product images, product description, quantity available, etc)
- Very intuitive interface. The idea is to use the iPad’s large touchscreen to showcase the products to the client in person. We have considered investing in an online product catalog, but we need something that is fast, crisp and with a very good intuitive interface. Note: Good interface, does not necessarily mean good design. We just need to consult and plan how we want the application to work for us.
- Ability to place orders from the product catalog. IE. Sales rep. needs to be able to add products to a cart, and create large list of products from the catalog in the cart. After the list and catalog is done, sales rep. should have the ability to send this order via email (or other methods) to the company’s headquarters so that the order can be processed.
Things we need to discuss:
- We need to discuss and consult with our local programmers to find ways to “sync” our inventory management software with the inventory in the iPad applications catalog. Or perhaps see if this is even possible. Right now the company is using a very simple but very stable inventory management software. It is purely DOS based.
- Need to discuss the feasibility of this project along with everything we need to arrange for in order to have this project started and finished.
I really want to contact an established company or experienced freelancer with a good solid porfolio that is open to discuss and throw ideas that could benefit the project. We don’t have any specific requirements right now, so we are looking to consult and see what is possible.
This is the first project of this type so I wont be able to give step-by-step directions, instead we will cover for your consulting advice and input. (most important part!)

This particular project is to create a site with functionality similar to Craigslist but on a MUCH smaller, local scale. I have project specifications ready for applicants.

What I need or require:
Wordpress Form Plugin allowing User submissions via HTML elements. This plugin will be used to basically create a reviewing engine. i.e. original post submission which can be done by anyone, will form a review. People can then add their comments to the review.
I need to build upon the current TDO Mini Forms functionality (or similar), as well as integrate with Chris Richardson's Google Maps MapPress plugin, GD Stars (or similar), Facebook and Twitter.

Functions
1. Accept input from either registered users or guests (there is some work required around user/post moderation)
2. Must check against Akismet.
3. Fields are variously text, URL, drop down single choice (I will provide detail once we agree on the fee and proceed)
4. Must integrate to Chris Richardsons MapPress Google Maps plugin, to allow a Google Map embedded map of the target, i.e. the form must pop up a Google Map to allow someone to pinpoint an address via address input field.
5. Allow user photos/video via embed, URL, upload from local host -- there are some rules around when to allow etc
6. Admin control of fields appearing in post title and tags (i.e. auto generate post title and tags based on fields I tag to be used)
7. The form must be able to just sit on a submissions page so anyone can access it
8. Creation of full control over each form element
9. Auto creation for search form based on which fields I choose to appear in search form
10. Control over which fields appear in comments section

You're working on a design project and at about 2 o'clock in the afternoon (or a.m.) the left side of your brain starts to relentlessly nag your brilliantly creative right side. To stop the nagging feeling, you quickly launch your email and kick out a quick note to let your client to let them know that you made some great progress on the design for the Structural Engineering Firm's site redesign. You say in your email that you'll have a rough draft by Wednesday to make sure you're on track. You throw in a P.S. to say that the professional athlete's design concept is about ready to send. That you need to work on a few final touches and will have a final draft ready on Friday.
